### Source pointers you can rely on (the "via / conduit")
- Every article page embeds schema.org `NewsArticle` JSON-LD with a `citation`
  array — one entry per source document: `name`, `publisher`, `url`,
  `datePublished`, and `additionalType` (the source-type taxonomy below).
  Read the citations directly; no HTML scraping of a footer is needed.
- API: `GET https://api.vianewsagency.com/articles/{id}/sources?site=via.news`
  returns structured `source_documents` — each with `title`, `publication`,
  `date`, `type`, `type_label`, and a canonical `url` where one exists — plus
  `source_count`, `sources_with_url`, and a `source_trace_score`.
- `source_provenance` is `structured` when the sources come from typed data
  (with URLs), or `html_footer` for older articles parsed from their footer.
- Source-type taxonomy: sec_filing, earnings_transcript, regulatory,
  court_filing, video_interview, peer_reviewed, news_article, press_release,
  via_internal.
- Integrity: we never fabricate a source or a URL. A `url` may be null
  (reference only). Older, dated articles may carry no pointers — that is
  honest, not a gap to fill.
