(VIANEWS) – NIO shares crashed on Tuesday after investors scrambled to get out of many Chinese-listed stocks. Investors still reeling from DIDI, which occurred not too long after the IPO of ANT Group, are now in a predicament where too little too late.

NIO was not involved in this incident, as China was primarily targeting the education sector. It is forbidden to allow for-profit tutoring of core subjects.

FXStreet reported that all of this happened because the US and China talked tough during diplomatic meetings this week, with China claiming the relationship is at an impasse. Chinese stock shares fell across the board, and the Invesco Gold Dragon Index dropped another 5% Tuesday. It had fallen 7% on Monday and 8% Friday.

Shares of Nio (NIO) jumped 5.75% to $45.07 at 10:46 EST on Friday, following the last session’s upward trend. NYSE Composite is dropping 0.01% to $16,695.55, after two sequential sessions in a row of gains. This seems, so far, a somewhat bearish trend exchanging session today.

Nio’s last close was $41.84, 37.54% under its 52-week high of $66.99.

Today’s last reported volume for Nio is 28674383 which is 56.57% below its average volume of 66028703.
