As the crowds were rushing away from Web Summit 2019 to Lisbon Airport, we used the calmer surroundings to talk at Startup Portugal’s double-decker with Shivam Dhawan, founder at Getboarded.
Getboarded is an artificial intelligence and big data recruiting service platform, in which bots are trained to help university applicants better match their soft skills with open vacancies.
Shivam Dhawan, a web analytics expert educated in India, is an young entrepreneur who brought his project to Lisbon to enter the European market. He’s using “Startup Visa” program launched by the former Minister João Vasconcelos at the 2017 edition of Web Summit.
Getboarded is part of a business incubation program linked to the University of Aveiro headed by Adriana Costa, executive director at the Science & Innovation Park (PCI) in Aveiro.
Half an hour’s drive away from Portugal’s Northern metropolitan area of Porto, Aveiro is mostly known abroad as the Venice of Portugal for its natural beauty deriving from its lagoon and river channel system.
